About To Blow: An unconventional star set to shine real bright.

In a scene traditionally compounded by inflated-ego's, incessant violence and increasingly devoid of creativity, UK music has since transformed a low point into a scene brimming with promise which has only been enforced moreso by London stars' Tinie Tempah and Chipmunks recent collaborations with stars across the Pond.
However, rarely do female artists emerge with already established careers in international dj-ing before launching their singing careers. On the flipside Grime stars like Dizzee and Kano famously emerged from the pirate radio circuit, but half-Iranian born and raised Glaswegian Yasmin Shahmir possesses a back story in Hip-Hop that began with a shout from non other than Pharrel Williams.
Born in Manchester, raised in Glasgow and now residing in North London, Business student turned DJ turned Singer Yasmin is climbing her way up Radio playlist's across the country and is destined for stardom in the new Year. At 21, she's already set her New Years resolution "to party more" and in a recent interview expressed her individuality developed from her inability to be influenced from anyone other then herself;
“I guess I hold the Hip Hop mentality of ‘I don’t really give a fuck’, because I just wear what I feel like, but I like a piece of bling as well”.
Recently recorded at the BBC's world famous Maida Vale studios, debut single 'On my Own' is due for Release January 30th so make sure you show some support!
