We’re very excited to share with you one of the most soulful new releases we’ve heard in 2019.
Amahla is a Hackney-Native, who’s been writing music with a political and social commentary in the past year to devastating effect.
The young artist has already performed at legendary venues such as The Jazz Cafe and Camden Roundhouse, as well as a forthcoming show at The Royal Albert Hall. She also featured on the co-written “Red Honey” alongside Bronswood future bubbler Shunaji. The track landed the #1 spot on Radio 1Xtra’s EP of the week. She’s also been the deserved recipient of the PRS Lynsey De Paul Prize for outstanding emerging female songwriters, as well as the MOBO Awards X Help Musicians Grant.
The result is a full EP, expected for next month. She’s just shared the stunning second single “Dorothy’s Verses” and it’s a soulful, vintage themed with contemporary production gem. Check it out below
