Music Can Be a Vehicle for Change..
For Italitan songwriter Andrea Di Giovanni, the ebbs and flows of life haven’t always agreed with him. Spending a lot of his younger life struggling with his sexuality and identity. Coming from a strict Italian background, there was no shortage of oppression from the wider community. Andrea was subject to bullying as a child, and as a result became withdrawn and shy. It was at this young age that he turned to music as a means of solace and to express his innermost feelings.
Inspired by his musical idols, he took the leap to move to London, pursuing a more open-minded creative path. Since then, he’s performed at The O2 in Shepherds Bush, Pride Festival and has been supported by Spotify on Fresh Finds/
His new single ‘Our Own Way’, is a twisted piece of dark electronic pop. Showcasing the young songwriters distinguished vocal talents, it’s a brave but beautifully orchestrated performance of contemporary electronic pop.
