With summer just about over, it’s time to look toward the autumn months. As the leaves turn brown and shit gets cold, we can at least look forward to returning to our favourite clubs without dreading sweat dripping from the ceiling.
To celebrate this, we at About To Blow are providing you with some tech-house tracks that are forthcoming over the next few months. Our intention – to get you in the mood for events that don’t involve a rooftop in Dalston, and to blast you out of that post-festival season haze we all find ourselves in around this time of year.
First up! – Madhouse Amsterdam 2015
The Madhouse imprint was launched in 1992 by Kerri Chandler and since its inception has been a driving force in the world of underground house, having released material from the likes of Dennis Ferrer, Roy Ayers, Tony Lionni and of course the label-founder himself. Here we see the label, two decades deep, continue its momentum with more hard-hitting house cuts.
With 11 tracks on the compilation, this release really brings something for everyone with established contemporary house producers Washerman and Nacho Marco delivering fresh original material. Plus a string of newcomers such as W&O Tracks Rhythm Operator teaming up with Blueshift for ‘Perculating Nights’, Amsterdam’s Ghetto Chords with ‘Preacher Boy’, Greek producer Sek who delivers the rough and ready ‘Hide & Kiss’ and London’s Jason Lee Ward’ with ‘Lost In The Crowd’ plus many more.
Sit back and enjoy this release, it certainly cheered us the fuck up.
This one drops on the 9th of October – have a listen via the preview below.
About To Blow’s Weekly Preview Series will be showcasing the best in new music each & every week.
