From a young age, music has always been the inevitable path for Devon-born artist Austel..
Early experiences playing classical and jazz music, led to performances at The Montreal Jazz festival and touring Europe, provided the foundation for a life in studios and live performances. Notably, Annie has quickly established herself as a regular studio presence, becoming a familiar face in collaborations with Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly, Lyla Foy, Munro Fox and Stella Martyr, performing at Glastonbury Festival, supporting Fleet Foxes and touring the UK on multiple occasions.
Since Annie started working with co-writer, producer and music technologist Adam Stark (mi.mu, Rumour Cubes) – She began to hone a particular sound, style and way of working that became the Austel methodology.
The first single is ‘Crows’. A stunning debut from an intriguing new talent. Soulful, electronic with alternative-leaning textures. It’s a sure fire hit for fans of SOHN, Banks & James Blake.
