Tipped as one of Complex’s ‘10 British R&B/Soul artists to watch’, Bobii Lewis has unveiled his luscious new record ‘Never Leave’, a melodic production fusing upbeat chords and summer tones with the singer/songwriter’s dynamic vocal range.
Following Bobii’s appearance at RiZe Festival last weekend, and earlier summer appearances at Tramlines and the Great Escape, Bobii will take to the BBC 1xtra stage at Reading and Leeds Festival this weekend. The performance will precede his upcoming shows at Kent Event Centre, and Northampton Cricket Ground, where Bobii will support UK superstars, Rita Ora, and Craig David.
Having catapulted into the mainstream consciousness with his 2016 mixtape ‘Blind In The Summer’, featuring WSTRN, Stefflon Don, Avelino, and Wretch 32, the production soon clocked over 2 million listens on SoundCloud, with Bobii consequently signing to BMG Records, later going on to collaborate with Kojey Radical on ‘Daylight’ and with Not3s on the feelgood ‘Force You.’
Featuring on BBC 1xtra’s playlist with the BBC Introducing track ‘Drifting’, Bobii has since written and featured on TIEKS’ latest single ‘Break The Rules.’ The single was later christened as MistaJam’s ‘Jam Hot’ on his BBC Radio 1 Dance Anthems show.
Influenced by the sounds of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Bob Marley through his early years, Bobii has since collaborated with brands such as New Balance, Wale Adeyemi, and Puma.
Embodying the fresh and innovative sound of UK music right now with his rich, soulful voice, the North Londoner remains one of the industry’s most hotly discussed up-and-coming talents, with ‘Never Leave’ set for release this Friday.
