Set back from the historic Croatian coastal town of Pula, the Roman ruins of Fort Punta Christo is the awe-inspiring setting that Dimensions Festival has habituated in the last five year’s. Now into its sixth edition and once again the Dimensions team have outdone themselves, curating a line-up that would make any electronic music aficionado go weak at the knees.
The musical enigma that is Grace Jones will headline the opening concert, which is held in a breath-taking Roman amphitheatre overlooking the Adriatic Sea. She will be joined by Moderat, the jazz-funk duo Yussef Kamaal and Moses Boyd for what will be an unforgettable night of live music.
As for the rest of the bill, it is bejewelled with many of the most revered names in electronic music. Dimensions has come to pride itself on the depth and diversity of its line up and this year is no different. Stellar names include Jeff Mills, Theo Parrish, Helena Hauff, Marcel Dettman and the ever-dependable Floating Points, performing both a DJ set and a solo live set.
Elsewhere, Chicago selector Sadar Bahar is sure to get the crowd moving, the Hessle Trio always know how to put on a show and New York based producer and DJ Levon Vincent is never one to miss.
