Rapidly emerging onto the populated London scene is ELOI, a name soon to be in mouths of everyone in the know. A classically trained pianist, she applies her aptitude for pop-inspired melody and stellar songwriting for a new school R&B sound that employs both a sonic nostalgia and aligns her amongst fellow boundary-pushing artists. Her latest single, Vertigo, is a symbol of her intent as an artist; poised, confident and a natural storyteller.
ELOI details Vertigo as ‘a metaphor exploring living in London and romantic relationships. I wrote the song when I was feeling really lost and disconnected from my life here. London is a great place to live your dream, but we’re surrounded by options, and still lonely. The tall towers symbolise what we could be or have if we let go. The alleyways are symbolic of what we are on a primitive level and what people settle for.
