London songwriter Hedara, has burst onto the scene in 2019 with some genuinely stunning releases..
Last month, we were treated to the first single from her forthcoming EP ‘Slow’. Now, she’s following up with a stunning, emotive piece of piano-led electronica – “Numb”
Following her passion from a young age, Hedara is a project of the world-famous Brit School in South London. She enjoyed a strong start to her music career, performing under a number of different artist personas and band pseudonyms. She then suffered a personal battle with her health, that put the brakes on everything for a number of years. She’s since returned to work with a number of the countries most exciting producers, before falling on a working relationship with Carey Willets.
The new single ‘Numb’, explores a difficult time in the artist’s life. It’s a piece that’s raw with emotion, leading through a powerful piano solo to reveal a lush analogue synth section. On the track, she states
“Numb is probably the most honest song I’ve written. I wrote it when I was going through a tough time, and although people were around to support me, I was also being told how to feel. I was feeling everything but being made to feel nothing at all”
