It’s a potent new EP from the South East London artist.
Rapper & Producer Jim Legxacy has just shared a powerful new project with it’s roots firmly in the most exciting musical hub in the country, South East London.
Tracing his musical palette back, Jim grew up on a diet of 90’s alternative rock bands and U.S Hip Hop & RnB. He then developed an affinity with Frank Ocean and Kanye West before developing a production style more suited to his environment. Since then, he’s created the dark and powerful new 7-track project ‘Dynasty Program’
Premiered by The Fader, it’s a sensual assault with a number of key influences running throughout. On the new EP, he states:
“this record is inspired by multiple events in the past 2 years of my life and they detail my struggles, frustrations and dualities, in summary it is the creative expression that represents the development of a young black male in south east London dealing with things such as love, racism (institution & societal), substance abuse for escapism, death and the imprisonment of loved ones, overprotective parenting, immigration & and the pressures of being of the first generation in my family to be born in a more economically developed country”.
