With the explosion of UK House on to the commercial scene over the past year, artists and producers who would have previously never have had the chance to be heard are now in the limelight. Thanks to channels like Eton Messy and Majestic Casual the deliciously danceable forms of House are being noticed and in the shape of young London producer M!lls, we have a talent who’s productions speak for themselves.
After catching our ear and making waves with the infectious ‘Go Deep’, a Janet Jackson sampled track with a 90’s club vibe we’ve been eager to see what’s next from Fiifi Mills and in the form of ‘Treat Me Better’ the intentions are clearly dancefloor focused.
With Olivia McShane delivering a soft, subtle vocal, ‘Treat Me Better’ is a joyful slice of polished, sensual House that clearly seeks to inhabit an influence from the beloved UK Funky era. Whilst the lead track holds a touch of pop-essence, the second track ‘Ashanti’ further infuses that UK Funky style and will likely have your head bopping along for the duration.
With much more in the pipeline, we’re sure this isn’t even the beginning for a producer who’s influences span across the House/Garage domain. Be sure to hit up Mills’ Soundcloud & Facebook pages for updates on what’s to come.
