UK Hip Hop has never been stronger than in 2018.
The collective name for rappers Lazy Eyez and Tok, Pupils of the Clock have been firmly putting their stamp on the south west scene. Originally from Cornwall, the duo met back in college through a chance encounter at a party. Tok decided to put Lazy on a few of his first hip hop nights, which soon developed into a creatively lucrative collaboration.
Since then, it’s been full steam ahead with the project. The duo have a strong understanding of the power of networking and make a point to regularly surround themselves with creators and influencers in the scene, while keeping their live game on point. As a result, they can now count the likes of Benaddict, Res One and Dr Syntax as fans
“Live performance is imperative because it gifts us the opportunity to connect with our fans on a deeper level. Also, even since recording the album last year we have developed massively as artists and our stage show allows us to share our growth with our fanbase.”
The new single is vintage UK hip hop, with a solid, sample based production layered over half-time beats and a distinctly British attitude. On the track the duo states:
“We’re all connected through definitive mortality but infinite in intricate wisdom that we give clarity.”
