Berlin-based electronic artist has a story that we can all relate to. After spending a number of years sacrificing his artistic flare for a steady job, he took a look in the mirror and decided to make a change.
“I thought I couldn’t make a living with music alone so I took on a job for a few years. At one point I started looking at myself from the outside and thought: what are you doing?”
SCHWARZ is film music without film, orchestral spheres with electronic beats, united by rare courage to great emotions, to feel self-indulgent. The atmospheric density of the sound of SCHWARZ is reminiscent of electronic pioneers like Woodkid, Moderat or Thomas Azier. The new video for “Outside Looking In” explores four characters driven by an obsession to perform. The track, leans on influences of the 80’s and film music.
