It’s a powerful nostalgia trip..
Margate-based singer-songwriter LANTA, first rose to fame with her feature on Sam Feldt’s breakout cover of ‘Show Me Love’. From there on, it was major label deals and all the pressure that comes with it. Unfortunately, the working relationship didn’t pan out how she expected, leaving her disillusioned with the whole experience.
“I was basically in no man’s land. My mental health wasn’t great and I didn’t think I had the capacity to imagine what I wanted to say as an artist anymore”.
After a few years writing with the likes of The Vamps, MNEK and Connor Maynard, LANTA soon found her artistic feet again, in a way we massively approve of. She began working with analogue synths and 80’s pop influence, and the LANTA project was born.
The first single was praised by the likes of BBC Introducing, Radio X and a number of tastemaker online publications. ‘More Alive’ continues the nostalgia-bliss feel of the first single, with epic, reverberated drum fills and big pop crescendos. On the new track, LANTA states:
I wrote ‘More Alive’ when I was preparing to propose to my girlfriend, our relationship hasn’t always been smooth sailing but for us that makes it a real relationship. I knew that to make our relationship work, I had to be vulnerable enough to be 100% open an honest about who I am for us to work. I had to accept that we would make wrong and right turns and if we do mess it all up there is no one else in the world I would rather fuck it al up with than her.
