Even if you’re only the slightest of fans, it’s been hard to ignore the fact that Harlem’s A$AP mob have touched down in Europe for the first time over the past week, with London hosting its first ever A$AP Rocky show last monday at East London’s Shoeditch bunker Cargo where fans waited for a near three hours just to guarantee entry to what was unboubtedly set to go down as a performance to remember.
Its been well noted over the past few months that shows involving the ‘Pretty Motherfucker’ are never quiet affairs, with the more recent SXSW performance ending in a mass brawl with a rather unlucky crowd member left black and blue after repeatedly being told to “not throw shit at the stage”. With that in mind it would’ve been amateur to expect anything less from the A$AP mob as they took the stage last Tuesday (20th March) with pure pandemonium breaking out from the second the hazy chords of ‘Pretty Flacko’ opened proceedings.
As A$AP coasted his way through a nine song set largely formulated from the LIVELOVEA$AP mixtape, the dudes over at Hypetrak TV were on hand to thankfully capture the trilled out scene’s which included a mass invasion of the stage as the Harlem crew hauled crowd members on to the stage during the inevitably hyped up rendition of ‘Peso’, which led to security attempting to cut off the show.
For the lucky people who were there, we envy you, but thankfully for those couldnt make it, Hypetrak have the visuals.
