Amapiano prodigy Musa Keys reveals debut UK tour, drops feelgood single ‘Kancane’ [NEWS]

By AboutToBlow @AboutToBlowBlog · On May 27, 2022

Amapiano don Musa Keys is set to embark on his first-ever tour of the UK and Ireland, kicking off this weekend.

The Giyani-born artist will play six dates in total, starting with Birmingham venue Upthesmoke this Saturday (28th May). He will then play in Dublin (3rd June), Birmingham (4th), Manchester (10th), Glasgow (11th) and London (INSERT DATE) next month (full list of tour dates below). The announcement coincides with Musa’s new single ‘Kancane’, out 27th March which features Konke, a brand new artist from Durban that Musa discovered via Instagram. Featuring upcoming local talent Chley, Nkulee501 and Skroef28, the track taps into the smooth ama sound that he has made his name with. His second single release of 2022, it follows ‘Your Body’, a collaboration with Cyfred and Focalistic.

With over 30 million streams to his name, Musa Keys is an exciting young artist known for his lush melodies and softly rhythmic synths. The self-acclaimed ‘Tsonga Michael Jackson’ quickly established himself as one of amapiano’s most revered figures, insisting that the genre ‘chose’ him rather than the other way around. He’s known for hit singles ‘Wena’, ‘Selema (Po Po)’, which has been in the Top 20 Apple Music and South African radio charts for the past 7 months, ‘Samarian Boy’, which charted for nearly three months on MTV Base, and his first double platinum single ‘Vula Mlomo’, which features fellow amapiano heavyweights Sir Trill and Nobantu Vilakazi.

Musa Keys’ maiden British tour is one you simply don’t want to miss.
