After selling out The Warehouse Project at the end of last year, Solardo kicked off 2018 with their second sold-out Solardo Sessions UK tour which also included European dates, as well as a relentless stint of shows in the States at the likes of Movement Detroit and EDC Las Vegas. The Mancunion duo also teamed with CamelPhat ‘Accelerator’, a collaboration only to be expected to happen after the guys have spent a summer driving crowds wild with b2b sets at the likes of Hideout, EDC Vegas and Hi Ibiza in the last month.
Now the tech-house pioneers returned with their well-regarded set to the iconic Studio 338 venue on November 10th, Solardo bring Higher to Studio 338 for a night to remember. Without a doubt one of the biggest breakthrough acts over the last couple of years that has come around, their journey so far has culminated to this one event that happened last Saturday. Featuring a heavyweight line-up that will be taking over the terrace from 7pm through to 6am alongside a weighty line-up of industry players such as Andrea Oliva, Solardo, Mason Maynard and Sante, it went down.
Before the Manchester duo appeared, Joey Daniel and Leon packed a set with punchy, laced with deep house and tech-house numbers to warm the crowd, The Solardo boys make an appearance and refuse to start the set on a low note – packing into set smashers from the get-go. With unreleased dubplates, sneak previews of releases of their own Sola imprint, the set is untamed and wild and the venue stage antics only add to this. Air cannons and a futuristic illuminating disco ball light the room setting a great vibe and rush to the crowd. Tracks such as ‘Be Somebody’ and ‘Accelerator’ made the crowd worked and focused, this show wasn’t for the faint hearted and it seemed a testament to their year.
