It’s an Uplifting Piece of Melodic House & Trance Fusion
Quickly making a name for himself in electronic circles for his unique ability to craft melody, Edinburgh-based producer Boy North has just dropped his stunning new single ‘We All Stood Still’. Taking a different direction to his previous, breaks-focused single – ‘We All Stood Still’ sees the rising artist take on a four to the floor drum pattern, with a gorgeous chord progression throughout, it’s a track that leans on elements across trance and progressive house, with an emotive energy that’s typical of the Scottish producers style.
Since starting to put out music in 2018, Boy North has received support from artists like Yousef, Kölsch, Lane 8, Joris Voorn and Cristoph. His tracks have been played out on Kiss FM, BBC Introducing Dance and BBC Introducing Scotland, and has previously released on labels like Purified Records, Songspire Records and Fat! Records. Speaking on the new single, Boy North states:
“We All Stood Still was probably one of the easiest tracks that I have written to date, With all that was and still is going on with the world, this really was a time of reflection and healing for myself and I’m sure many others, I wanted to capture that feeling of reluctance that we were all now facing but how also suddenly we all felt more united than ever, It’s been a long road for everyone mentally so this track really was to be capturing that emotion but still upbeat enough to give a sense of hope and warmth with those around us, I hope you all enjoy this little journey I feel even though I’ve written, we all have had some kind of input into”
