‘I Like Getting High’ (But Not All The Time) is a potent alt-pop banger from the rising East London talent.
Now based in East London, songwriter Runrummer has spent much of her childhood traveling the country. Growing up most of her life in Birmingham, she soon relocated to London in search of a creative community.
Since launching her project with the ‘Soul Wrinkles’ EP in 2019 – She’s picked up support from BBC Introducing, Clash Magazine and support across Spotify’s editorial network. She’s also sold-out her first London show and performed festivals across Europe. The new single ‘I Like Getting High’ (But Not All The Time) is an alt-pop anthem with plenty of influence from house music and electronica.
“A lot of my lyrics focus on struggles I’ve had with sexuality, gender identity and mental health. Music has always helped me through hard times and I think it can be an extremely powerful tool in helping to inspire anyone who feels marginalized or different. You can always find musicians in your corner and you can always shut out the world with your headphones on”.
