The Bristol-Based Producer Makes Dazzling, Electro-Tinged Pop
Making waves for his unique blend of electronica & pop, Bristol-based producer Felid returns with an infectious, potent new single ‘Blame’. Written while working a late night shift at a hotel, it’s a glistening piece of alt-pop with plenty of lush electronica elements.
Building a reputation as one of the city’s most exciting up and comers, Felid has garnered support from the likes of Complex UK, Dummy Magazine and BBC Introducing for his unique experimental pop style. Previously a member of electro-pop act Mauwe, he’s picked up over 10 million streams and even performed at Glastonbury.
The new single outlines precisely what the young producer is all about. Upbeat pop sensibilities with a lush electronic production. Speaking on the new single, he states:
“I got a job working nights at a hotel. Once I’d finished the stuff I needed to do I had time to create, before getting the place ready for the next shift. This track came from one of those nights. I remember it fell together pretty quickly and I had to try not to get too excited because I was on CCTV and would look crazy. That happened with a few tracks actually, and it made long night shifts and getting home at 8am completely worthwhile.”
