With an ambitious 80’s synth pop sounding track, Afro-Swedish singer-songwriter Felish has released her latest single “Can I Be Sad Too” which explores a heart-felt and deep rooted meaning of holding in negative feelings. With a clear warming style, vocals, bass lines and drums all come together to create a truly nostalgic track.
Felish’s unique journey began across the Atlantic, whilst studying at Los angeles College of Music and receiving the LACM Linda Perry Scholarship to help finish her studies. Her ambitious and futuristic sound continues to develop and gain recognition from key industry figures. Speaking on the creation process behind the new single Felish writes – “when I recorded the vocals for this song It made me feel so incredibly free in my own emotions ,this acceptance, the strength in being fragile ( cause it is fucking strong to stand by yourself in feelings that are not what everybody wants to see or hear!) and I hope that it will have that same effect on the people who hear it and hopefully start singing it too!! Be how you want to be, and cry when you wanna, it will make when you laugh that more heartfelt, cause you let yourself have your own emotions -feel them through and let them go!”
Can I Be Sad Too by Felish is out now on all streaming platforms.
