The London-based Producer Shares a Sun-Drenched Anthem
A collaboration between two artists who met online through a mutual love of analogue synths, the latest remix from East London’s FNP has a distinctly summer feel to it. The track builds from an infectious funk-guitar riff and subtly builds lush disco chords. Speaking on the inspiration behind the new remix, FNP states:
“I had received a press release for the original version of ‘The Times’ and was blown away. I immediately got in touch, as I knew the chord pattern and the funky guitar licks would lend themselves to a nu-disco rework perfectly. New groove, a new structure and some analogue synth elements and the we all love the result”
An artist who’s regularly flitting between new genres, FNP loves taking on a new challenge and working with indie outfit Hayes & Y showcases his production style to a tee. It’s a perfect slice of summer disco that makes exquisite use of upbeat synths and funky chords.
