As the old adage goes, strike while the iron is hot! Following up on the success of his ‘Rumors’ show earlier this year, Guy Gerber made a welcome return to this side of the pond with another thrilling spectacle. The trendy and lavish vibe of Ibiza found its pulse again in the UK as Gerber played a special ‘All Night Long’ set in Camden’s prestigious KOKO venue on April 1st.
Equipped with his raw talent, a cracking set and complete transformation of the venue, Gerber curated an event that was energetic, chic and wild.
The song selection was exquisite with Gerber spinning the hottest tracks of the moment, while also making sure to appease real dance aficionados with funky club classics. The end result? An atmosphere that at once harkened back to the nightlife meccas like Ibiza and Miami but also channelling the cool sophistication of Londoner culture.
The crowd’s satisfaction and sheer enjoyment by the end of the night was palpable. Champagne was flowing, tables were involuntarily moved to create more space to dance, much to security’s disapproval. Like most club events, it was arguably over-booked. Yet there was a synergy between the attendees that boasted an unspeakable familiarity.
With his Rumors brand set for another season on the white isle, it’s clear why Gerber continues to sell out clubs no matter what the venue or size, with his unique and trendy approach offering an experience different to the norm, and without doubt delivering an experience to remembered here.
