The Half-Iranian Songwriter is At Her Best When She’s ‘Shy’
Combining elements of alt-pop and upbeat electronic music, rising London songwriter Jazz Mino returns with the effervescent bop ‘Shy’. A track that explores unspoken affection between her and her producer, it’s a track that was undoubtedly, a little awkward to record but absolutely perfect in it’s delivery.
‘Shy is about having a huge crush on one of my closest friends. He produces most of my songs with me, and after we FINALLY got together, I was like – “Hey, I wrote a song about you, wanna work on it with me?” … And that’s how Shy was born!’
First discovered by Apple Music’s former head of editorial Austin Daboh while busking in the street, her rise was meteoric. The new single is the first from her upcoming EP and showcases an artist with plenty of talent about to make her mark on the UK pop scene.
