The Norwegian Synth-Pop Sensation Returns
We’ve been following the journey of Norwegian synth-pop sensation Metteson since he dropped his ‘Convince Me’ project earlier this year. He’s a unique artist with a distinct taste for the analogue and synth-driven sounds of the 80’s, driving his uniquely modern pop compositions. On the new single, we hear Metteson take on a more emotive approach, finding a degree of vulnerability in his sound, with the vintage synth sounds continuing throughout the piece.
The Norwegian songwriter takes a 360 degree approach to his craft, taking on all elements of his creative output. Metteson (real name Sverre Breivik) comes from a stage performer background. Speaking on the new single Metteson states:
“I haven’t experienced “the love of my life” but in time I’ve learned that I’ve received something just as valuable. I’ve received lots of love in the first moments, the hours or weeks when two people first connect and everything is new, exciting and full of possibility. This song, for me, is about this. It’s also a story about how kindness and sacrifice can have an immense value in a relationship.”
