Nigerian musical icons MI Abaga and Oxlade have joined forces on new single ‘All My Life’.
A feelgood ballad with romance at its heart, ‘All My Life’ opens with sunkissed percussion and Oxlade’s delicate vocals, before making way for an infectious chorus and MI Abaga’s slick, heartfelt bars. The touching official video, featuring elderly couples showing their love for one another, is a perfect illustration of the track’s message.
‘All My Life’ follows MI Abaga’s recent single ‘Crown Of Clay’, featuring fellow Nigerian artists Vector and Pheelz, with both tracks set to feature on his ancitipated forthcoming album Pillow Talk And Sweet Dreams.
Known by his stage name MI, an acronym for Mr. Incredible, MI Abaga is a hip-hop artist, lyricist, producer, songwriter and instrumentalist. Often referred to as the ‘Chairman’ and ‘Africa’s number 1 rapper’ by virtue of his hit songs and impressive track record in the music industry, he has won at least two dozen awards in the ‘Best Rap’ category, including the MTV Africa Music Awards, and was nominated at the BET 2010 Awards in the ‘Best International Act’ category. Pillow Talk And Sweet Dreams will be his sixth studio album.
One of the leading lights of Afrobeats in 2021, celebrated singer-songwriter Oxlade has released several chart-topping songs across his career and is widely recognized for his 2020 EP ‘Oxygene’, which became the most streamed album in Nigeria on Apple Music upon its release and featured the chart topping ‘Away’. More recently he linked up with DJ Sean K on single ‘Ifeoma’.
