French producer NICOLAS has been creating some of the most unique, deep and soulful electronica over the pat few years, taking his music into the realms of socio-political commentary. His sound has been critically acclaimed, leading to support from the likes of Earmilk, Complex and landing a top spot on The Hype Machine
The new six-track project provides a critique of the fast-paced, disconnected society that we live in today, whilst aiming to re-unite people through dance and self-contemplation. The project boasts two new songs, as well as the EP’s eponymous opener, on which NICOLAS shares his fears about the current state of the world. He says:
“’LEFT THE PARTY’ is a song about being lost, trying to find your true self. I feel like this is a common theme between a lot of people that we just don’t talk about.
It’s hard to admit that you’re not in the place you want to be, but in my opinion it’s the first step to actually get there, to actually find who you truly are, and sometimes for that you just have to leave the party”.
