With technology becoming more accessible and widespread, the overall appeal of a ‘DIY’ artist isn’t as endearing as it once was; unless it’s done right, and French-born, L.A. based singer-songwriter Noé is doing so with carefree ease.
She recently shared the video for Spring single Rabbit Hole; on which she remarks “‘Rabbit Hole’ is a Frankenstein of a song. The final vocals are actually original takes of me freestyling melodies and lyrics into a mic at the studio. I loved how raw and imperfect they sounded so we decided to keep them as is.”
The video sees Noé seemingly trapped inside a room, exploring different streams of consciousness and emotions; extending on the lo-fi, personal aesthetic of the music. Speaking on the video, Noé states “This was all done with absolutely no budget. Just pure love, and lots of thank yous and pizza.”
