It’s a Gorgeous Psychedelic-Electronic Hybrid from the Scottish Producer
The very definition of the term ‘bedroom producer’ – songwriter Pali Gap manages to convey his lo-fi, alt-electronic sound in a glorious way on his new single ‘Parallel’. Full of intricate details, nuances and warm analogue synths, it’s a lush release that’s somewhere between Maribou State and Tame Impala
Named after a rare, Jimi Hendrix classic – Producer Jo Leslie formed Pali Gap after years experimenting as part of various band setups. Inspired by his grandfather, who encouraged a love for the likes of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Eagles, later in life he discovered a passion for electronic production to combine with his retro-leaning musical tastes.
Speaking on the new single, Pali Gap states:
“Sometimes I feel like making music and everyday life run in parallel; this song plays on the possibility that the two may defy geometry and one day collide.”
