“Blindfold was meant as a journey, a three-part story that wavers between hope and nostalgia, growth and resignation. We wanted this duality of moods to be at the center of the writing process, where the introspective verses are punctuated by a more uplifting and unifying hook. Strings, guitars, and ambience sound design were brought in and layered to give the instrumental a cinematic feel. Although very contemplative, it retains a universal quality that makes it one of the most compelling and moving songs we wrote for our upcoming album.“
