Fronted by music stalwart Andrew Spraggon, Sola Rosa is one of Kiwi music’s most evolutionary and enduring acts. Nearly a 20-years long labour of love, Sola Rosa has released seven full-length albums, four EPs, a handful of hits, countless collaborations… A story punctuated with twists and turns in the form of constant change and innovation, but one thing has remained the same – Spraggon’s steadfast commitment to making great music that seamlessly blend a myriad of genres, from hip-hop and jazz, to neo-soul, latin and funk.
The artist will release his new EP “In Spaces” tomorrow and we’re excited to share with you a song from the EP, a pure concentrate of awesomeness: “Back To You” features the Tongan-New-Zealand singer Noah Slee and received a special treatment from two of our favourite producers of the moment, Canadian duo Potatohead People.
Slee, who just had an incredible 2017 (a tour with Mick Jenkins and an album released with Majestic Casual) delivers stunning neo-soul vocals over the mellow beats of Potatohead People, an affair of effortless beauty.
