PRVNA Shares Groove-Rich, soulful anthem “Only U”

PRVNA kicks off 2023 with her independently released single, “Only U” – a warm and soulful blend of Afro, Funky house and Rnb.

The South-London based artist, described as the “queen of alternative RnB, funky house and Afro-Latin” by Jaguar at BBC 1Xtra, draws inspiration from Black Coffee through to Disclosure. This can be heard with the choice of production: a groovy rhythm and rich chords, alongside PRVNA’s soothing vocals and harmonies. The track, no doubt, gives us a flavor of the summer approaching.

PRVNA describes herself as “a woman in dance music, and my voice will always return to the free spirit of 90’s club classics that I listened to growing up. I’ve found it incredibly empowering to be fun and flirty on a record, and have loved owning that space”.

Only U is out now on all streaming platforms and will be followed by her debut afro-fusion EP ‘Move my Hips’ later this summer.
