It’s the news we’ve been impatiently waiting for. Soulection, our favourite label & collective out of Los Angeles who have brought to light the talents of Sango, Kaytranada, Ta-Ku & Esta to name a few, have announced details of a European tour spanning nine countries, which also includes a session at the infamous Boiler Room. To say we’re excited would simply be underplaying it.
Having originally made a new for themselves through Bandcamp, the label has gone on to release music from artists across the globe, not to mention the weekly radio show continues to garner massive support as the focal point for the latest tunes off the Soulection roster. Following the news last week of a Soulection show at on May 23rd at Birthday’s in Dalston headlined by Holland’s refix king Jeftuz (with support coming from our very own Warren Xclnce) it’s great to have the rest of the squad coming to London on Friday May 30th.
The tour features founder Joe Kay, The Whooligan & two of their most popular artists, Mr Carmack & ESTA. Each date will also feature local talents affiliated with the label including Germany’s IAMNOBODI, Holland’sjarreau vandal, London’s Faith & Manchester’s Sivey. With a special guest appearance from Brainfeeder’s Kutmah, ticket’s for the London date can be purchased here. To mark the announcement of the Tour, Mr Carmack & Esta have hit the studio to release ‘Geometrik’, a typically uplifting & melodic vibe we’ve become so accustomed too. Hit the play button & give it a stream below.
Ohh, & keep an eye on About To Blow over the next week as we have a guest mix coming from one of our favourite Soulection artists. In the meantime a full breakdown of the tour can be found below.
