It’s an Affecting Piece of Electro-Pop from the Norwegian Riser
For such a small nation, Norway has an incredible knack for producing some incredible musical talent. Rising songwriter and producer Solå carries that torch with aplomb, showcasing everything that’s great about the Scandi-Pop sound. The new single ‘B Mine’, is a powerful piece of pop with enough electronic elements to make it stand out.
Despite her formative years, the 25-year old Norwegian songwriter is quickly making a mark with her unique talent for creating some of the best Lo-Fi pop around. Starting her musical journey by writing and producing in a shared dormitory in Bergen, she’s worked with a number of artists including the solo project of Lasse Lokøy from SLØTFACE. She then went on to release her debut single “Dizzy” via French label Kitsuné, before playing the Øya festival and Bergen showcase festival Vill Vill Vest.
“When I wrote “B Mine”, it was important to me to write something based on my feelings towards myself. I tend to compromise too much, and that has made me lose track of what I truly want for myself.
I’ve been unfortunate in my love, and that has sometimes made me feel small. “B Mine” is my way of saying that you should value yourself, and not let your desires fade away. “
