Wavy The Creator Drops Hotly Anticipated New EP ‘P.S. Thank You For Waiting’

 Multidisciplinary Nigerian artist Wavy The Creator has unveiled her new EP ‘P.S. Thank You For Waiting’.

A seven-track release featuring a number of star-studded collaborations, ‘P.S. Thank You For Waiting’ opens with the smooth vibes of ‘Letter To Oxygen’, produced by David “Femi” Ojo and including the sensual vocals of Soulection affiliate and Wizkid collaborator Tay Iwar. Next up is recent single ‘Harmonies’, a Quesi production and collaboration with fellow Nigerian talent WurLD. An engrossing dose of modern Afro-pop, the track sees the pair trade sensual, hushed vocals amidst delicate piano chords and vibrant percussion. Next up is Kuvie produced (DarkoVibes, Amaarae, Joey B) the funk-infused ‘G.A.Y.S’, a sensual track and an outlet for Wavy to express her sexuality, the vibrant percussion of ‘Stella Riddim’ (Kuvie produced), sunkissed energy of the LMBSKN (Aylo) produced ‘Fuck Luv’ and wistful melodies of ‘Time’. The Anthony Dircson produced (YSA, ISA, ZAY, Dion Cooper) ‘Situations’ then see’s ‘P.S. Thank You For Waiting’ finish with some party-starting dance vibes.

“‘P.S. Thank You For Waiting’ is an expression of myself and all the different types of love I have experienced over the years,” Wavy explains. “I am opening up in ways I have never done before in the past. I speak about love, lust, infatuation, heartbreak and feeling like I’ve been omitted all in one body of work. It takes you on a whirlwind of emotions and love expressed in all forms.”

A creative in the truest sense, the recording artist, photographer, fashion designer and filmmaker Wavy The Creator is best known for her domestic breakout hit ‘H.I.G.H (Her In Greater Heights)’ and as the official photographer of Nigerian hip-hop artist Olamide. Her sound incorporates elements of hip-hop, Afrobeat and electronic dance music, and she has collaborated with Flohio, Töme, Tiwa Savage and Eugy amongst others.
