XOYO has announced its programme for the coming months, with some real heavyweight artists set to grace the Shoreditch venue. Having previously announced DJ Harvey as the person to take the helm for the last four Saturdays of the residency series, the XOYO Loves programme sets out the Saturday line-ups running between September and December. This demonstrates a deliberate decision to move away from Saturday residencies that has seen the likes of Jackmaster, Scuba and most recently Oneman curate a wide variety of nights in the last 18 months or so.
The XOYO Loves series kicks off on 3rd September when Detroit legend Omar S is joined by NZ and Peckham’s rising stars Chaos in the CBD. In the months that follow, XOYO will welcome a number of outstanding artists to Cowper Street and it really seems as if the club has upped its game, with big international bookings that could be seen as a response to the competition of Phonox, whose winter programme also includes some huge names. Household names such as Motor City Drum Ensemble, Helena Hauff and Jeremy Underground are joined by slightly less well known but equally exciting prospects such as Avalon Emerson, Seven Davis Jr and Ross from Friends. XOYO Loves starts on 5th September and tickets can be purchased here.
